What is a proctor and why do I need one?

A proctor is an impartial individual appointed to monitor or supervise a student during their examinations. All students taking proctored exams are required to have a proctor for various reasons: 1. To guarantee proper student verification that meets the standards of accrediting agencies. 2. To assure that the student who takes the proctored final exam is the same person that enrolled in the program. 3. To assure that the exam result is a true reflection of the student’s own knowledge.
