Do I need to speak English?

UoPoeple is currently only taught in English and therefore requires a minimum level of English in order to be admitted. (See below for requirements)

We want to stress that we have created a University model which we encourage others to copy, so perhaps different institutions will one day create programs for different languages.

English Requirements;

If you are a non-native English speaker, or you graduated from an institution where English was not the primary language of instruction, please see which other English proficiency documents you may submit to be considered for admission to an undergraduate program here: http://www.uopeople.edu/files/Pdf/english_proficiency_qualifications.pdf

There is another option available if you are unable to send an English Proficiency document, we will still consider your application. If you are admitted to UoPeople, you will become a "non-degree special" student, which means you will need complete either ENGL 0101 English Composition 1 or equivalent course as determined by the University, in order to proceed to your desired undergraduate program.
