Are there additional or different requirements for Computer Science applicants?

All applicants interested in the Computer Science program must hold a prerequisite in mathematics or background in a computer science course. UoPeople accepts one or more of the following qualifications:

1. Strong high school mathematics preparation.

2. Prior college-level work in mathematics and/or computer science.

3. Work-related experience in this area – to present this you must send a resume and a letter from the employer describing this background.

If you do not hold one of the qualifications listed, you will be considered for admission as a Non- Degree Special Student. In order to become a degree-seeking student in an undergraduate program in Computer Science, you would be required to successfully pass MATH 0101 Developmental Algebra.
